Grew up in Dallas, TX. Graduated from WT White HS in 1980 and went directly into the Air Force. Spent 5 years traveling the globe, doing all kinds of crazy stuff. First week of February, 1985, was hired on with Ericsson, a very large Swedish Telecom firm that was building cellular telephone networks.
Got in the service at 18 years old, was 6′ tall, scrawny, weight 145 pounds. Lots of abuse taken for my skinny build, and was required to spend hours in a gym 5 days a week. After one year I was 6’1″ tall, 205 pounds of muscle. Yes, 60 pounds in a year!
First marriage fell apart after 12 years, swore I’d never get married until I was in my fifties, but two months later met this ‘girl’ who happened to be my customer’s admin assistant. Oh boy, talk about taking customer satisfaction to a whole new level! lol
Well, fell in love with her on our second date and told her right there and then she was my next wife. She laughed hysterically because at the time I was pretty much a male slut, which isn’t saying much, just that I loved women, all women, no matter what size, color, religion, didn’t matter to me! After dating her for a couple of years she finally fell under my spell (or lost a bet with G-d, one or the other) and agreed, against all logic, to marry me.
Well, the poor girl couldn’t cook. She is the only person on the planet who I could say literally, could not boil water!! She burned a pan one day boiling water for tea, left it to boil dry and the pan warped. Well, she decided to take some lessons and now is a gourmet chef! The down side of this – as my career progressed, I went from traveling 48 states to traveling the east coast to not traveling at all and being trapped behind a computer. So, the man she married at 6’1″ and 205 pounds is now 6’2″ and 344! Eek, run for you life!

I’m walking now and watching my intake but seems all I need to do is smell a donut and I gain a pound…. last year
